Our water filters contain Zeolite, and a number of other minerals. Zeolite is a 100% natural crystal that has been proven to effectively remove heavy metals, chlorine and fluoride from water. Alkaline water is water that has a higher pH level than tap water. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral, less than 7 being acidic, and greater than 7 being alkaline. Alkaline water typically has a pH of 8 or 9.
There are a few possible reasons why your water may taste bitter or metallic:1. High mineral content: we are adding over 20 trace beneficial such as calcium, magnesium and zinc. Even if you've drank alkaline water before, our can have a different taste.2. Your body is becoming accustomed to drinking alkaline water. After 2-3 weeks, the bitter/metallic taste should feel less noticeable.3. Water source: if the source of water is from a metal pipe that has high levels of metal ions, it may have a metallic taste.4. If the taste issue persists, the system may not be assembled properly. We recommended you refer to the product manual for instructions on proper assembly and maintenance of your system.

The PH001 filters, generally last for 96 gallons or 360 liters. PH002 filters last 264 gallons/1000 liters.

pH001 filters work perfectly on their own. The pH002 filters are add-on filters and can only be used in conjunction with the pH001. For those looking to take their water purification and pH levels to a whole new level, the pH001 and pH002 combination is recommended.
If you are seeing black particles, this is activated carbon dust and is normal. Allow water to run through filter for about 2-3 minutes. Then fill the pitcher and let water filter through completely - discard the water. Repeat this step 2 more times.
The body of the Recharge 1F and 3F units are made of PC (polycarbonate-clear) plastic, and the lid and spigot are made of SAN (Styrene Acrylonitrile) plastic.
We only recommend hand washing with warm soapy water. Please don't wash or use soap with the filters.

The pH RECHARGE unit comes with a manual dial reminder. Simply spin the first dial to get to the month you need to change the filter in and the second dial to the day.
